My client and NOW good friend Jenn nominated me for the Kreativ Blogger Award! I don't feel deserving but will play along and nominate some of my favorite Kreativ Bloggers!
Here are the rules:
1. Thank the person who nominated you.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
3. Link to the person who nominated you.
4. Name 7 things about yourself that people may not know.
5. Nominate Kreativ Bloggers.
6. Post links to those you nominate.
7. Leave comments on their blog letting them know you have nominated them.
Here's some tidbits you may not know about me...
~ I am a TRUE native Phoenician... born and raised... never moved away... although I have wanted to live in Texas since I was looking at Graduate programs... it was the first and only father/daughter solo trip I have ever taken with my dad and it is burned in my memory!
~I used to tease my husband that we would have twins someday... I wanted four kids and he only 3... so I used to tell him that we would have two and since I was in better with God - the 3rd time we would get two and I would have my four... God had the last laugh AND I am in FULL agreement with my husband... 3 is the PERFECT number for us.
~While I just said that 3 is the PERFECT number.... I have ALWAYS wanted to adopt a daughter from a different country. The idea of taking a child out of a non-Christian based nation and raising them so they would know the Lord would be AMAZING...
~I preferred fast pitch softball to dance when I was little.... and little has changed since then.
~I am a self proclaimed germ-a-phob! Seriously - I am obsessed with cleaning germs...
~ I LOVE Christmas music. When I heard it in a store for the first time the other day.... I ran home and started playing it... actually I have played it often this summer.... I only like instrumental Christmas music....
~ Some of my closest friends used to be students of mine at GCU! Definitely the BEST part of working there for 10 years!
AND MY NOMINATIONS GO TO:
Little Blue Boo (Um... you HAVE to check her out!)
Kathy Cole Photography (Phoenix's FINEST Photographer! and amazing woman of God!)
The Thoman Family Blog (Seriously - she comes up with the BEST crafts for her kids!)
Lovely Little Things (JJ Heller is a VERY talented Christian artist who dabbles in great sewing crafts too!)
I actually have a ton of people I could nominate but know some of them are VERY private... you know who you are.... I would have nominated you too!!!

Seven Minutes....

Not to be confused with the movie Seven Pounds...
Which by the way was good, but slow.
And a little depressing.

Which is NOT the mood around here AT ALL.

Try elated, surprised, delighted, joyful, ecstatic, and the list could go on...

BECAUSE....

Last night - Matty Moo and Addie RAN to their room and jumped in bed and went to sleep within about 20 mins.... they didn't get out of bed once and it was actually cute to listen to them sing and talk back and forth.

I could hear this over the monitor:

M:"Sissy"
A: "Moo Moo"
M:"Sissy, what doin?"
A:"Shhhhh sissy sweeping (sleeping)"
Silence.
M:"Sissy swing (sing)"
A: "Otay"
They then proceeded to sing the ABC's song masterly mixed with Skitter-ma- rinky-dink-e-dink AND Ole' MacDonald's farm.... The very first Egglet Remix....

So - what does this have to do with seven minutes?

Look for yourself:

Seven minutes into nap today - I snuck in to see this!
Precious, SLEEPING little toddies!
And yes, like Noah, they also INSIST on sleeping with rats!

Day one and two have gone SURPRISINGLY well....
And I am NOW a FIRM, FIRM believer in the power of prayer!

Operation Big Kid Bed is in Full Swing.

It is day one of Big Kid beds for the twins.

We are 15 mins into the "new" arrangement and I have to say that it is going fairly well.
Yes, they are singing and not sleeping.
Yes, they seem to be exploring every nook of the walls surrounding their beds.
BUT,
They have not gotten out once.

Currently they are singing the ABC's and every once in a while I call out from the hallways where I am armed with my video monitor, my computer and a DIET COKE...

When I call out - they drop to their bellies much like those in boot camp.... who knew I am a drill Sargent.

They are putting their stuffies and blankies on the floor and then picking them up and putting them on their beds... stuff that will get BORING sooner or later... and not worth the fight today.

I am goaling at 1 hour of them being held captive to their beds.... if they sleep - AWESOME... if they at least STAY in bed today I will call that a success...

In the mean time - Noah Boy who has NOT slept during nap time at all this week - is SOUND asleep... through the banging on the walls, the singing, and the mom hollering in the hallway...

Figures!

*********UPDATE***********

40 mins in... a couple of SERIOUS talks and action later - Moo is STILL awake... He keeps getting out and when I go in - I get the BIG tears and a "yes ma'am"...

He is currently laying on bed saying, "Oh no, I stuck on bed" ....

At least this is semi - entertaining! LOL

********** UPDATE 2 ************

50 mins in - it got REALLY quiet... the monitor was hard to see so I peeked in... and this is what I saw!!!!! Whoo Hoooooo!!!!

Here We Go...

This "scene" has already brought tears this am....

From both myself .... I can't believe the "babies" are this BIG already...
And from Moo.... he said, "No bed, where my crib?"

In true Addie fashion.... she ran in her room and said, " Big bed wike Noah" and laid down on it.... I had to pry her off while she was crying the whole time, "Me go nite-nite. ME GO NITE NITE!"

We are doing the mattresses on the floor for the first couple of nights... not for any special reason but that their toddler beds aren't here yet!

SO...
This morning we have been playing chase, dance off, ring around the roses, tag, and anything else I can think of to TOTALLY exhaust them. I figure if I get them good and tired - they will just lay down and SLEEP at nap time - ha!

Here's to day one.
Negative 3 hours and counting!

(PS - better pics will be coming - I only had my phone upstairs and was to lazy to get my big camera!)
